I thought I’d take a drive a few weeks back and check on an old house that is starting to feel its age and neglect.

The first time I was at this house (I’ve gone many times) she had a bit of a lean but she was standing up pretty straight considering. I seriously contemplated going inside but didn’t because I could see just about everything from the windows.

Over the years I have considered taking grad photos at this house but I never have. Maybe I will take the 2025 grads over here for a few shots and see what I get. Or maybe this house will be gone by then.
I’ll keep checking in periodically to see how she is making out.

I would love to see a set of progression photos of this home! Interesting how they can lean for so long without toppling right over.

I would love to see a set of progression photos from over the years! It’s amazing to see how they just lean and lean forever, before finally succumbing to the fall.

I often forget about this house and then remeber, oh I should check on it. When I first photographed this house in 2018, it had a lean. I likely could have gone inside but I didn’t. There was a staircase to the upper level but that staircase was becoming part of the lean. I didn’t risk it. Then someone posted a picture that it had finally gave in. It has progressivly gotten worse which is surprising because its on a nicely treed little section which you think would protect it from the winter winds. No. I cannot recall what I called the title of the first blog post of this house which really shows a lot more detail. It would have been one of my first for sure though.
